I'm Alessandro Allegra, I was born in Italy, since I was a child I had a passion for drawing inspired by the art and creativity of my parents who surrounded me, growing up between painting and paintings made with raised subjects made with clay.
I also started painting when I moved to Copenhagen, where I have lived for 13 years. Here I started dating a group of artists, now my friends, from various parts of the world, they made me explode the desire to create with the brush, until then I had only drawn. At the beginning I fell in love with the watercolor, I use it in a unique way, giving the painting a uniformity of color such as to make the painting look like oil, thus taking great care of the detail, receiving from Paolo Levi, the most respected art critic Italian art, a fantastic review of my paintings presented at the "Arte Palermo international award". Subsequently I used acrylic and oil colors, in many works I used watercolor, acrylic and oil together, creating my own particular style. Convinced that art is a powerful universal form for communicating, I began to paint fantasy subjects inspired by modernity, soul energy, philosophical thought. My works are also inspired by the places where I lived, representing corners of Denmark and Sicily.
Alessandro Allegra's is a painting of extraordinary beauty, characterized by a delicate and perfectly calibrated use of color. Works of a superfine language, made of energy and elegance of representation. The figures emerge delicately and silently, in a game of hints and ethereal and nuanced visual counterpoints. It seems a will dictated by the figures themselves, rather than by the Artist, characters who reveal themselves to us observers as part of a silent and delicate theatrical draft.
