The idea comes from a stuffed animal head, exhibited in a cafe´ in the center of Copenhagen, ´´ Bankeråt´´. The color is so homogeneous that the painting does not look like a watercolor, looking like a photograph. The animal is a long-horned African antelope where tribal patterns are woven on the face. The ears and neck have the colors to fade enhancing the face with its well-highlighted details. Made on fine grain paper, characteristic of my first paintings. Dimensions: 30cm x 15cm.
Alessandro Allegra's is a painting of extraordinary beauty, characterized by a delicate and perfectly calibrated use of color. Works of a superfine language, made of energy and elegance of representation. The figures emerge delicately and silently, in a game of hints and ethereal and nuanced visual counterpoints. It seems a will dictated by the figures themselves, rather than by the Artist, characters who reveal themselves to us observers as part of a silent and delicate theatrical draft.
