In this painting I wanted to show how to carve out a moment for yourself when everyone else moves fast around you. The work represents people on the street in an American city in the 1940s. The woman with the hat is the central figure, she is still, all the other subjects revolve around her. Painted in black and white, this watercolor has the highlighted details and the contrasts between light and sharp shadow. Dimensions 65 1/2 cm x 44 cm.
